Jesus lived on earth as your representative a life that could be set to your account as though you had lived it yourself.

If you give your life to Him, then for His sake you are accounted righteous. Christ’s character stands in place of your character. What a Saviour!

   Justified means counted righteous.
   
   Luke 18:13 and 14
   “And the publican standing off ... smote upon his , saying, God be to me a .’
   
   I tell you, this man went to his house .”
   
   He was counted righteous because he felt his need, and Jesus stood in his place.
